  3. Final Theory (FTL, FTP, FTE, FTT)
  4. Practical Lessons

  6. Traffic Police Simulator Course (TPDS)
  7. Risk Forecast Training / Lesson (PPL5.01)
  8. Traffic Police Practical Test

Bukit Batok Driving Centre (BBDC) Class 3A – Traffic Police Practical Test

Managed to book this after finishing all my practicals, theory, TPDS, DS, etc. Previously, you are able to book in advance but due to many students not being able to finish all lessons before their tests arrive, BBDC changed their policy. LOL.

I could only book 1 month after I finished everything because of the demand. TPDS was my last thing to finish. I had practicals lined up after TPDS, but finished all practical lessons before my TPDS. It made no sense to do revisions 1 month before my test so I canceled any practicals I had during that week. After finishing TPDS, I had to wait another 48-72h (can’t remember), to book my TP test. Probably to update TP system or something of that sort.

Still tbc for this post.

Bukit Batok Driving Centre (BBDC) Class 3A – Traffic Police Driving Simulator (TPDS)

TPDS 1-3

Booking of TPDS isn’t so bad as what I’ve seen in previous months. The booking was alright but I need to book the 3 lessons in a 48h interval… It lasted 20 minutes, and please be on time for this. During the whole simulator exercise, time passed by really quickly. It consists of different scenarios that can occur in real life and also scenarios that are very common occurring accidents that the TP has witnessed. You will be in a car simulator similar to DS (TPDS and DS are completely different) and then you will just start. There is a voice coming from some speaker telling you some instructions. For those that get motion sickness easily (like me), might get a bit dizzy.

Bukit Batok Driving Centre (BBDC) Class 3A – Practical Lesson Stage 5 and Revisions

Lesson 17 (5.01/9)

Evaluation time. They would do a mock test during this time. Instructor would pretend to be the TP tester and have that paper that consists of possible errors I have made. Honestly, it is so bad to do this during night time because it’s really hard to see numbers, people crossing, and my astig doesnt help with all the oncoming cars when turning right. I was alright during 45mins and barely accumulated DP. After that, I was really dazed and made many errors which actually made me remember my errors better. Instructor still passed me with 18 DP for eval.

Revisions

Revisions were pretty awesome and less nerve-racking as I was not thinking too much of passing that lesson/stage. I told my instructor, who was really awesome and gave good advice, that I was weak in my parallel parking. At the same time, he also tricked me so many times I felt so embarrassed but then it’s good since it’s engraved in my mind. I’m taking this revision almost a month after Lesson 17 because right now, I can only book TP test after completing everything + 2 days after completing TPDS. Thus, only available was 1 month after. I had no slots available near to my test date, so I just went carousell to get the service of booking the revisions slots for me.

Bukit Batok Driving Centre (BBDC) Class 3A – Practical Lesson Stage 4

Lesson 15 (4.01/11- 4.01/12)

Went through route 11 and 12. Went pretty smoothly. It was kind of a practise before the stage 5- evaluation. They’ll take you through the whole circuit and tests your knowledge. My weakest link is parallel parking, turning right on correct numbers (note to self, right is before [RB], left is after [LA]. when turning right, change lane already). Road was ok. Not much to take note of for road except ensuring I’m in the correct lane and look at blindspot

Lesson 16 (4.03/0, 4.04/0, 4.02/14, 4.02/13)

Pretty much the same as above but just a different test route in road. I live around BBDC, thus I’m pretty familiar with the road so I’m not too concern about memorising which lane I should be in. Though, word of advice for those not familiar, is to have a good landmark to remember some notes. Example is make sure to be in the second lane if they ask you to go straight after ITE/fire station. If they already ask you to u-turn there at phoenix, ensure to be at the first lane around the ITE/firestation road.
